After spending a night in Loreto, our first destination is Isla Carmen, the centerpiece of the National Park. At 19 miles from tip to tip the winding coastline of Isla Carmen has numerous bays, headlands and hidden coves perfect for paddling and exploration. The terrain on the island is varied with turquoise green bays edged with white sand and dramatic cliffs backed by 1000-foot high russet colored peaks. Crossing to Isla Danzante we spend a night on this very picturesque island before returning to the mainland. Beautiful kayaking, satisfying hikes and spectacular campsites combine to make this an all around great Baja expedition.
