Testimonial
Mike Johnson, NV View TripsNorway is an extraordinary place. The natural beauty, the people and the country. Each base accommodation was very comfortable, well located for the paddling and welcoming. Food was great and plentiful at each location too. The equipment was top notch. New or nearly new and very well cared for (Erlend). The guides are great stewards of the locations, and the guests.
I particularly liked the time in Solund with the local guide Trude. She was so welcoming, informative and generous with her time from the guided paddling, mail boat tour, pancakes and seafood lunch on the dock and a concert in the church. What a wonderful steward of Solund.. The daily paddling plan was perfect, with beautiful scenery, history and culture. The paddling days were just the right length and the weather was incredible.
The dinners together with our group were very enjoyable. Each location accommodated our dining as a group and that helped us develop even deeper ties.
What really stood out were the 2 guides. Erlend and Ervin were so attentive, taking time to get to know each guest and incorporating them into the group. They responded to everyones’ needs and questions. They were knowledgeable about paddling, the natural world and culture of Norway. They took particular time to make the culture understood and relative to our experience (Ervin). They outdid themselves in being helpful and managing all details. Their whit and approachable natures really made each day spectacular to experience. We felt like we formed a close and personal relationship with both of them. Never had such good guides.
