Day 1 Arrive in Loreto and be met at the aiport by Tofino Expeditions staff, transfer to the hotel explore the town and meet for an evening orientation and discussion of trip details.
Day 2 Transfer by van to the Puerto Escondido and board skiffs for the 30 minute ride to the basecamp. After an introduction to the art of kayaking a paddle along shore to the first of many great snorkeling spots. At sunset the staff biologist does a presentation on Blue whales and the Gulf of California marine environment.
Day 3 After breakfast the first skiff borne whale watching trip with a visit to colony of California sea lions and then a stop at the island’s spectacular north beach and an opportunity to swim, beach comb and hike. Returning to camp there is time for relaxing and some casual kayaking before dinner.
Day 4 An early morning whale watching trip followed be a group paddle to a beautiful arroyo beach for lunch snorkeling and hiking. A leisurely trip back to camp and free time before another great sunset dinner.
Day 5 Set off after breakfast for a day paddling trip along the island’s shoreline stopping to snorkel at small coves and lunch at a beautiful golden sand beach. An optional hike to an island high point followed by paddle back to basecamp.
Day 6 - After a final swim, board the skiff for the trip back to the mainland where we are met by vans for transfer back to the hotel in Loreto stopping along the way for some of Baja’s best fish tacos.
Day 7 Fly home
